Dictatorship and Revolution is an edited volume that contains different essays which talk about the politics of the Marcos regime, the regime’s economic plunder that emboldened cronyism and kleptocracy, the excesses committed by the First Family at the expense of rising poverty and inequality, among others. The book also features essays that detail the circumstances which led to the 1986 People Power Revolution–the important personalities and the mass movement behind this peaceful uprising. What is useful in Dictatorship and Revolution are the appendices that contain a rich selection of primary sources related to the Martial Law and the 1986 People Power Revolution.
